The Guidance Department at Candor Elementary School supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. Through a comprehensive and nurturing program, the department empowers students to build confidence, develop healthy relationships, set goals, and make responsible decisions—laying the foundation for lifelong success in school and beyond.

The Library Media Center supports the curriculum and educational goals of Candor Elementary School. The Media Center provides an instructional program and environment that fosters an appreciation of literature and a love of reading, empowering patrons to become lifelong learners and effective users of information, ideas and technology.

Internet Acceptable Use Policy

Internet access is now available to students and teachers in Montgomery County Schools. The goal of the school system in providing this service is to promote educational excellence in schools by facilitating resource sharing, innovation, and communication that is consistent with the educational objectives of the State of North Carolina and Montgomery County Schools. To gain access to the Internet, all students under the age of 18 must obtain parental permission and must sign and return this form.
